Scholarship Grants (Financial Aid)

• Financial Aid is entirely need-based; award decisions are based on the family’s financial need and the school’s ability to support a percentage of that need.
• Financial aid funds are limited and are awarded on a first-come first-served basis.
• Families must reapply each fall, before any lessons are given in September.
• Financial Aid awards are applied as a percentage reduction of the total tuition charges, with a limit of one program per student and does not require repayment
• The lesson length will be decided by the teacher and the Executive Director in September and again in January and the financial assistance will be adjusted at those two times only.
• Financial Aid may be decreased or terminated if a student demonstrates unacceptable progress.
• The acceptance of financial assistance from FCCMS carries with it an obligation on the part of the student to attend lessons on a regular basis and work diligently on making progress in his/her principal area of concentration
• Families with an unpaid balance by June 30 will forfeit any financial assistance grant which might be made for the following year, unless prior arrangements are made
• Recipients will be asked to sign a letter of agreement accepting the financial aid and return it within two weeks of notification of the award. Failure to return the agreement letter will result in cancellation of the financial award.
• A student who withdraws prior to the completion of a semester will not receive credit on his/her financial aid for subsequent enrollment.
